The Doctor Genius Practice Pulse: 2025

January 14, 2026

The Rhythm of Growth. The Signals That Matter.

Every year, thousands of patient moments unfold across practices using Doctor Genius—searches, calls, conversations, appointments, and decisions made in real time for private dentist and medical practices, alike.

Practice Pulse is our annual look at what those moments reveal.

Not just activity—but insight.
Not just volume—but outcomes.
Not just data—but what it means for the practices and patients behind the numbers.

This is a snapshot of how practices showed up, how patients responded, how smarter systems quietly supported better care—and what that means for your practice.

1. The Big Picture

What we helped practices accomplish—together

Traction for Doctor Genius users was strong in 2025. Compared to 2024, the collective Doctor Genius user-base experienced some real growth in 2025:

  • New Customers increased 25%
  • Appointments Set increased 15%

We all know that new patients are key to any business, whether a practice just started or has been in business for years. The next important step after finding a new customer is getting them to convert to a patient. With the help of Doctor Genius for both the discovery and operations to set the new appointment, practices are gaining traction with new patients and appointment bookings.

2. Where Doctor Genius Was Used Most

Platform usage, coast to coast

While Doctor Genius may have started in California, dental and medical practices across the nation are showing up, signing in and growing their businesses with the help of the platform.

Cities with the most user sign-ons:

  1. Los Angeles, CA
  2. Queens, NY
  3. Littleton, CO
  4. Frisco, TX
  5. Boynton Beach, FL

States with the most user activity overall:

  1. California
  2. Florida
  3. Texas
  4. New York
  5. Colorado
  6. New Jersey
  7. Georgia
  8. Arizona
  9. Massachusetts
  10. Ohio

Surprised that Florida edged out other states, despite their cities ranking higher? We were a little too: that’s due a larger base of more active cities, across the board. Cheers to the Sunshine State!

3. Peak Practice Moments

When the phones were off the hook…

You need staff to handle calls and book appointments. Want to make sure you have the right coverage to answer patient inquiries? Here’s when the calls came in during the 2025 year to practices across the country:

  • Monday and Tuesday accounted for 49.75% of all sales calls, with Monday edging out Tuesday with 3% more calls
  • 11am-6pm saw 69.67% of all sales inquiries, almost evenly split between 11am – 2pm and 2pm – 6pm

When looking at the Doctor Genius platform, the month that saw the most users signed in was:

  • September: a 14% increase usage compared to the annual monthly average

Understanding these trends helps practices to optimize throughout the customer life cycle—not just market louder—resulting in greater customer lifetime value. What may seem like a small interaction is really an opportunity to win over a customer. Nail the conversation, earn their business.

4. Conversations That Converted

From inquiry to appointment

What happened on those calls, anyway? Looking at YoY performance, Doctor Genius users saw both quantity and quality improvements in terms of calls in to their practices.

  • Unique conversions increased 14%
  • Answered calls increased 10%
  • Outcome Conversions increased 10%

The phones ring at a Dentist’s office for any number of reasons: each with an opportunity to win a customer over, or lose their business altogether. The impact of call handling can’t be understated and we’re excited to see that our market-tested, AI-backed approach to handling front-office calls continues to be a proven method for success for Doctor Genius users.

5. Product Wins This Year

What we shipped to help practices win

Doctor Genius is here for one reason: to make the business of dental (and medical) practices easier. Here are the top three ways the platform improved in 2025: we’re not only helping bring in more business, we’re helping to sustain it.

  1. Google Ads Integration: by combining various reporting aspects, Doctor Genius users can now more easily see results and understand campaign performance, allowing them to optimize for ROI
  2. Caller IQ: Call Insights got a major upgrade in 2025. Covering off on both the breadth and depth of front office call handling, 2025 started off with little visibility into calls, their performance, or how to improve them. Now with Call Insights as part of the larger Caller IQ feature set, there are not only more convenient, aggregated call insights in a reliably fast dashboard, training tips are also provided as a way to easily facilitate ongoing coaching from team members’ real-life call interactions.
  3. Custom Scorecards: This feature rolled out late in Q4 and is an impactful feature nonetheless. Now teams (and Consultants) can set their own grading rubrics for call performance, targeting any aspect of call quality that they wish.

If you’re not caught up on everything going on with the Platform, send an email to support@doctorgenius.com; we’d be happy to walk you through the various updates!

6. The Content Practices Loved Most

2025 was quite a pivotal year for SEO changes. Practice Pulse, in Brief

2025 didn’t just move fast—Doctor Genius practices moved smarter. While many practices felt pressure from rising ad costs, shifting SEO rules, and AI-driven discovery changes, our users bucked the trend: more new patients, more appointments set, and better-performing conversations across the board.

This wasn’t about chasing volume. It was about clarity. Knowing when patients call, how conversations convert, and where to focus effort allowed practices to grow even as the landscape got noisier and more complex.

Looking ahead to 2026, here’s the hot take: AI won’t reward the loudest practices — it will reward the most understandable ones. The winners will be those with clean data, real human conversations, and systems that turn insight into action.

2025 proved that growth is still possible. 2026 is where practices that operate with intention will pull even further ahead. This pulse isn’t the end of the story — it’s a checkpoint. The real momentum comes from the conversations we continue to have, the ideas we test, and the improvements we make together.

Here’s to a strong 2026, and to keeping the conversation going.
