CDA Presents 2026: The Art and Science of Dentistry is just around the corner, and Doctor Genius is excited to return to the Anaheim Convention Center for another jam-packed event full of education, innovation, networking, and in-person connections. Having attended the show for more than 10 years, our team knows this annual, three-day tradeshow always brings exciting exhibit hall energy, but it also moves quickly once the doors open. Between the speaker sessions and the crowded exhibit floor, arriving with a plan helps. To make sure you can navigate the show like a pro, here are some insider tips from our team on what to expect from the show, how to prepare, and what DG has in store at booth #1672 this year.
Top 5 ways to survive (and thrive) at CDA Presents 2026
From May 14th to 16th, CDA Presents 2026 offers dental professionals more than 450 booths and vendors to explore. Here are five practical ways to make the most of this convention:
1. Conquer the dead zones
Cell service can be unreliable, but the Anaheim Convention Center offers free Wi-Fi with a 10-gigabyte connection. Downloading the California Dental Association app from the Google Play Store or the App Store before arriving can make it easier to access the map, schedules, and event details. A mobile hotspot can also provide a more dependable connection.
2. Gear up for the floor
CDA Presents usually involves a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes matter more than most expect. It also helps to carry a lighter bag and bring only the essentials. Check out the exhibit hall map and prioritize your stops — a little preparation in such grand halls can make it much easier to stay focused and energized throughout the three-day event. After all, there are hundreds of thousands of square feet to explore; it can take several minutes to walk the length of just one exhibit hall.
Bathrooms are located along the perimeter of each exhibit hall. Concessions are in Hall C, while Hall D boasts the kid zone, mother’s lounge, and wellness space.
3. Sanitize, hydrate, and get refreshments
Tradeshows can be physically draining after hours and days of walking and talking. Fortunately, guests can bring an empty reusable water bottle to refill at the convention center water fountains. In addition, bringing hand sanitizer and face masks is a good idea, given all the handshakes and crowds.
Attendees can also stay energized with food at the concessions stand in Hall C. Outside food or drink is not allowed in the convention center, but food trucks will be posted outside for lunch. El Más Chingon, TK Burgers, and Kabobaholic are favorites from previous years. There are also plenty of nearby dining options within a five-minute walk, such as Puesto Anaheim and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.
For coffee, stop by the Ecogrounds coffee kiosk inside the convention center’s North Hall. There is also a Starbucks and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, both less than a five-minute walk away. Or, try the locally owned Blossom Cafe and Market (across the street from Puesto Anaheim!).
4. Must-see speakers and strategy
The best convention experiences typically start with a plan. Attendees should try to decide what they want to see the most ahead of time, whether that is patient acquisition, front-desk performance, or better marketing insights. From there, use the CDA app to bookmark must-see speakers, like Peter Fritz, DDS, FRCD, PhD, MBA, LLM on AI Clinical and Practice Management, Ali Oromchian JD, LLM on new practice ownership, and Kelli Vrla BBA, BA, CSP, CRMC on patient retention. Adding a few key supplier booths, such as Henry Schein Dental (#1466) and Belmont Equipment (#1666), to the list can make the event feel even more productive.
5. Make booth #1672 your home base
Doctor Genius wants booth #1672 to feel like a real home base during CDA Presents 2026. Rather than being just another booth stop, it is meant to be a place where attendees can talk through their goals, ask meaningful questions, and connect those convention ideas to a real growth plan. The team will be there all three days, ready to discuss how AI-powered tools, stronger visibility, and smarter marketing systems can support dental practice growth and patient acquisition.
What Doctor Genius has in store for CDA Presents 2026
Doctor Genius is heading to CDA Presents 2026, ready to make every stop at booth #1672 worthwhile. Attendees can speak with members of the team, including the VP of Sales, Phil Lopez, and the Executive Account Manager, Francesco “Chess” Palladino, while also exploring what is new and discussing the real growth challenges their practices are facing. Whether the goal is a quick introduction or a deeper strategy conversation, our booth is designed to feel useful and engaging.
Highlights at the DG booth this year include:
- A closer look at AI-powered marketing and SEO tools that support patient acquisition and practice performance
- A raffle for two free LA Rams tickets for local attendees or $500 toward NFL tickets for those traveling from out of the area**
- The return of our spin-the-wheel giveaway, a crowd favorite from past events
- Tradeshow exclusive client offers and sign-up deals for new clients
There is plenty to make booth #1672 worth adding to the list, even before the strategy conversation begins. For practices that want a more focused discussion, scheduling a pre-show demo before arriving in Anaheim can be a smart move. This extra preparation allows our team to begin with real context rather than starting from scratch on the show floor.
