Caller IQ Updated: Clearer Call Insights and Booking Trends

November 05, 2026

Caller IQ, updated: better call insights and clearer booking trends, with cards for booking rates, missed opportunities and calls to follow up.

Every unanswered question, unbooked appointment request, and missed follow-up can represent an opportunity your practice never gets back. That is why we have refined Caller IQ™ to make the most useful call insights even easier to find and act on.

With the phone ringing throughout the day, each conversation tells the practice something, but few teams have time to review every recording. The updated Caller IQ now makes it easier than ever to see why patients are calling, what happens next, where opportunities are being missed, and which calls still need attention.

What’s New in Caller IQ

Caller IQ uses AI to analyze tracked patient calls and show you what happened after someone connected with your front office or left a voicemail. Now, with the update rolling out, that information is more concise than ever. We’ve refined Caller IQ’s call metrics to focus on what matters most: your appointment booking rates, knowing which patients still need a callback, identifying missed opportunities, and recognizing where your team can improve.

Take a look at what else is new in Caller IQ:

Call Insights: Catch Problems Before They Escalate

Want to know how many appointment requests went unbooked yesterday? Or how many callers still need a response? Or what about whether those missed opportunities are increasing? All of those answers can be found right in your Genius Portal Dashboard under Call Insights.

The relaunched Call Insights view gives practices a clearer look at recent call trends. It shows patterns in call purpose, patient intent, and outcomes. You can find appointment booking rates, missed opportunities, and calls that still need action for today, yesterday, the past week, and more. That makes it easier to spot changes early, such as more appointment requests going unbooked or an increase in calls that require follow-up. Caller IQ also automatically flags complaints, frustrated callers, and unresolved issues, so your team can act before a problem escalates.

Team Reporting: Improve Front-Office Performance

Team Reporting is getting an upgrade in Q4. Soon, you will be able to set up and manage your team directly in Caller IQ, saving you the extra step of reaching out to Doctor Genius Support whenever you need to make a change. The updated report will show new metrics that give you a clearer view of how each team member handles calls, what to bring up at the next morning huddle, and who deserves recognition.

A Note on Custom Scorecards

Custom Scorecards give practices a consistent way to evaluate calls based on the behaviors that matter most to their team, such as:

  • Appointment transitions
  • Insurance discussions
  • Referral-source capture
  • Question handling
  • Professional call management

Doctor Genius plans to turn them on by default for every practice, so you do not have to worry about turning them on manually. Each Custom Scorecard dives into the details about why a call scored the way it did and where there may be room to improve.

Turn More Patient Calls into Appointments

Practices with Caller IQ see 26% more new patient inquiries and 46% more conversions.

Unfortunately, a phone ringing off the hook does not always translate to a fully booked schedule. With Caller IQ, you can see exactly what is happening on patient calls and take action to turn more calls into booked appointments. You do not have to take our word for it. Practices with Caller IQ already see 26% more new patient inquiries and 46% more conversions.

For example, Mission Valley Dental Arts in San Diego, CA uses Caller IQ to identify missed opportunities, improve team training, and bring in more new patients. Co-owner Sean Merbod shared how Caller IQ saves him time by automatically scoring and categorizing calls. With these insights, the practice has improved how its front office team handles patient inquiries and communicates the value of its care. The result is a more confident, accountable team and a better experience for prospective patients.

Know Who’s Calling, Without an Automated Phone Menu

Understanding how calls are handled is only part of the picture. Knowing who is calling matters, too. With Doctor Genius’ AI Caller Type ID, calls can be labeled as New Patient, Existing Patient, Non-Patient, or Undetermined based on the conversation itself. Unlike a traditional keypress menu, callers do not have to identify themselves before reaching the office. With fewer prompts to sit through, the caller cannot press the wrong key and mislabel themselves. That gives Caller IQ cleaner new-patient data to work with.

Explore the Changes to Caller IQ

Caller IQ is included for Doctor Genius clients and is also now available as an à la carte service for practices that want AI-powered call analysis without a full marketing package. Whether it is part of the Doctor Genius Framework or used on its own, Caller IQ helps turn everyday patient calls into clearer next steps and more opportunities to book appointments.
